You and your organization are looking for ways to strengthen your fundraising program. This is a critical component of your daily activities. How do you attract new donors to your organization while retaining those who are already committed? Creating a development plan for the organization may be the first step. Implementing that plan over the course of the year will insure success. How do you do this?

J. W. Walker & Associates works with non-profits organizations to build a personalized development plan. That plan may include an annual campaign, major gift program, capital campaign or a planned gift program. We will train your staff and volunteers to raise the community's support of your organization. We can develop a development plan to help you move your fundraising efforts forward.

Here are some results from our experience with non-profit organizations:

  • Organize special fund raising events, work with volunteer committee to enlist corporate sponsors, develop guest lists, and coordinate all details of the event. RESULTS: Increased community awareness of the organization and increased support from local corporations and individual donors.
  • Establish membership program, manage databases with attention to detail to ensure correct data entry, set standards for replies to donations, and prepare new materials and membership premiums. RESULTS: A strong membership pool to approach for annual contributions.
  • Develop annual fund campaign program to solicit donations from members and friends each year. These funds are unrestricted and available for the daily operations of the not-for-profit organization. RESULTS: Increase contributions to the general operations fund.
  • Develop donor recognition program for annual giving of $1,000 or more. Create donor recognition display. Set up a monthly credit card charge program. RESULTS: Growth in the number of annual gifts of $1,000 or more.
  • Execute a donor recognition program for cumulative giving of $5,000 or more. Create physical exhibit with donors names inscribed. Encourage members and friends to “move up”. RESULTS: Increased giving by major donors who want to be recognized in a very public way.
  • Identify individuals, corporate, and foundation prospects for capital campaign. Work with volunteers on the correct gift amount, prepare proposals and support materials. RESULTS: Successful capital campaign with increase public awareness of the impact of the non-profit organization in the community.
  • Develop planned giving campaign for the endowment fund. Identify prospects, make personal contacts, and work with volunteers on additional prospects. RESULTS: Increased awareness of planned giving opportunities to support non-profit organization.
